Welcome to HSU!

A private, co-educational university located in Abilene, Texas, a leading education center in west Texas with a metropolitan population of 133,000. Established in 1891 and affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas since 1941, over ninety percent of Hardin-Simmons University's student body is from Texas, with the rest being a diverse group from twenty-four states and thirteen foreign countries. HSU offers more than fifty majors through its Colleges of Liberal Arts and Business, Schools of Education, Music, Nursing, Sciences and Mathematics, and Theology, and several programs leading to one of eight master's degrees through its Graduate School, including the M.Div. from Logsdon Seminary and the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
