Hello out there! My name is Meredith Aim, and I am currently serving as the Admissions Representative for prospective International Students.

I came aboard this fabulous HSU Enrollment team on June 1, 2001. I came to Hardin-Simmons University after graduating from high school in Kenya, Africa in 1994. My parents are missionaries in Rwanda, and Africa is my homeland. We moved there when I was three years old.

I thought nothing could ever beat growing up in Africa, climbing volcanoes, seeing gorillas, and sleeping in mud huts with my African friends. I have to say that attending Hardin-Simmons University comes close. I thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, time and time again for leading me to this great institution. It was here that I received a degree in the field of Social Work. (Boy was that tough... there were days I thought I would never make it.) I am alive through it all, and I am confident that I could not have received a better education. Not only was my education given to me by some of the finest professors around, but it was here at Hardin-Simmons that I learned to walk closer to God. It was here that I was given the opportunity to form lasting relationships with people and professors, and it was here that I was able to use my talents and fulfill many of my dreams.

Since I have started working for the University that gave me a great college experience, I can truly say that I feel like I am back at home. Home is always where your heart is. I believe Hardin-Simmons holds the key to making every student feel at home. I hope you open your heart to what Hardin-Simmons has to offer.
